Bye Bye Sierra

We Will Miss You Sierra

At tonight’s Tribal Council of Survivor Tocantins, the 23 year old from Los Angeles, Sierra, was voted off and becomes the 3rd Jury member for this episode of the realty TV show Survivor.

Sierra said she started the game on the first day having the flu. “But, I persevered through it and I’ve done all that I could do to stay in the game as long as I possible could.  Coach was lying.  I guess they will have to find it out on their own.  I’m just totally floored that I made it 30 days living essentially in a bush with nothing, and I’m very proud of myself.”

Survivor Tocantins 10th Episode

In the realty TV Show Survivor, we find only eight castaways are left.  Sierra said Tribal Council sucked.  She spoke to Coach who said you pitted yourself against me so who deserves to go next?  The next morning, Coach gets up early and celebrates his victory over Brendan.

Challenge – the tribe members are divided into two teams of four.  On “go”, two castaways from each team race out to collect a large puzzle board.  They then race back and the next two go.  Once they have all four boards, they must arrange those boards in their own specific spots.  They flip and rotate the boards until all the holes line up, revealing seven letters.  Combine with the letters that they already have to form a four word phrase.  The winning team will be treated to some local entertainment and local food.  Also, the winning team chooses one member from the loosing team to go to Exile Island.

The red team consisted of JT, Erinn, Debbie, and Tyson.  The Black team were Coach, Stephen, Sierra, and Taj.  The Red team wins reward and JT said to send Stephen to Exile Island.  He wants to vote out Sierra next, so he does not want to send her for fear she might find an immunity idol.

Erinn was very excited to win the challenge because she has never been on a reward before.  The entertainment was martial arts and music, after the winning castaways stuffed themselves at the feast.

Again Stephen found himself on Exile Island, with no food, no company, and the clues to the idol were the same as before.  So Stephen said that this means that there is no new immunity idol to be found.

Immunity Challenge:  Survivor version of shuffle board.  Each person has 3 pieces, and need to slide them across the board with one simple goal.  The person who ends up the closest to the center of the marked ‘X” wins immunity and a guaranteed one in seven shot at winning the million dollars.  There is a twist to the challenge.  If a castaway feels so confident that they don’t think they need immunity, then they can skip participation in the challenge and instead eat Pizza.  Stephen, JT, and Coach say that they will eat and not participate in the challenge.  Debbie wins the individual immunity.

At Tribal Council, Tyson gets blind sided and voted out.  Sierra thought she was the one being voted out, and was in shock!  But the castaways, behind the back of Coach, decided on voting out Tyson because he was such a strong competitor and it would be hard to vote him out later.  They also decided not to tell Sierra because they did not trust her.  So this ends this realty TV’s Survivor Episode, with closing shots of the Coach in shock from the blind side and who will now have to scramble very hard to regain control of the game.

Tyson Bites the Dust

Tribal Council Votes Out Tyson

The 29 year old Tyson from Lindon, Utah, gets blind-sided at Tribal Council as the final vote was five to three to vote him out over Sierra.  Besides being shocked, both Sierra and Coach did not see it coming at all.

Tyson called his fellow castaways sneaky bastards.  Now he knows how Brendan feels.  It was a big shock, and he thought he had his game in the bag, but he realizes that he should not have been so confident and gullible.  He wished everybody good luck.  He said it bothered him that he was beaten by Sierra, who he thinks is an idiot, but he said he is not crying over it.

While we are sorry to see Tyson "the entertainer" leave, he will not go far.  He now becomes the 2nd member of the Jury, who will decide who gets the million dollars.

Survivor Tocantins 9th Episode

Starting out the Realty TV Show Survivor Tocantins, we find the tribe is still talking about loosing their tribe member due to medical reasons, on into the evening.  On Day 22, we find the Coach by the water performing his warrior poses.  Jt is confident his new alliance will prevail.  Coach believes he is in complete control.  Jt believes he can bring Erinn into an Alliance if the need should arrive.

New Challenge:  Divided into teams of three, each team will have their own row of colored ceramic tiles.  On the word “go”, each team will toss a metal ball and tempt to knock out one of the other’s team tile.  When you are out of tiles, you are out of the challenge.  Last team left standing wins reward.  The winning team of 3 castaways will be taken on a white water river rafting and then a nice picnic with sandwiches, chicken wings, and brownies.  In addition, the winning team picks who will go to Exile Island alone.

Brendan, JT, and Debbie all win award.  They choose Stephen to go to Exile Island.  The three of them enjoyed an amazing river raft ride and a great picnic.  Brendan attempts to talk strategy to JT, and JT says “I don’t know.”

Back at camp, Brenda tells Sierra they should take out Tyson, Coach, and then Erinn.  He wants to keep JT and Sierra syas yes, she really respects JT.  Brendan talks to Taj and tells her they are going to take out Coach and Tyson.  Taj agrees with Brendan to keep JT.

Immunity Challenge:  Each member is attached to a robe that is threaded through a series of  obtacles.  First three to finish, move on to the final round.  Only this time, the obstacle course is 3 levels tall.  First person who finishes wins immunity and guaranteed a one in eight shot of winning this game.

Tyson, JT, and Brendan all were the first three to finish, so they moved on to the final.  Through the final obstacle race, Tyson wins ammunity.

Back at camp, Coach wants to vote out Brendan, and Brendan wants to vote out Coach.  At tribal council, Brendan gets blind-sided and voted off.  He was so over confident, that he never played his hidden immunity idol.

Brendan said that at the merge, he knew he would have a big target on his back.  He also said it feels good to be blind-sided, as that is part of the game for which he tried to do against Coach.  He knows Sierra will be next to go, and wishes her good luck.  So this ends this week’s Realty TV show Survivor Tocantins, but it is not the end for Brendan.  He will return next week as the first Jury member at Tribal Council.

8th Episode Survivor Tocantins

April 9th, 2009

Survivor Tocantins 8th Episode

The Realty TV Show Survivor Tocantins started out with the first day with both tribes receiving tree mail, informing them of a reward feast.  The speculation arises on both sides of whether or not this is the merge celebration.  Or, if it is a challenge, then they have to win as they are all starving.

Upon arrival, a table is found with an enormous amount of food and drink.  A note to the tribes informs them of the merge, and new buffs are passed out.  They are also informed that they must also come up with a new tribe name.

JT is worried that they are out numbered by 6 to 4, and also that their team member Joe has had an injured leg.  JT is hoping to find some power struggles going on, and can maybe exploit this to his advantage.

At camp, Coach bonded with JT.  JT then started talking strategy as they both privately fished for supper.  Coach wanted to keep his conversation secret and JT agreed to do so.

In a night time conversation, Coach wants to get rid of Brendan.  They think Brendan is the head of the dragon and must be cut off.  We also find a new alliance forming with Tyson, Coach, JT, Stephen, and Debbie.  The plan is to eliminate the weaker team members first, being Brendan and/or Sierra.

The Challenge was for individual immunity.  Each tribe member must hold on to a pole for as long as they can.  When they fall off the pole, they are out of the challenge.  Tyson wins this as the winner of the first individual immunity.  Tyson is now safe at tribal council.

Jeff sees that Joe’s leg looks bad, and has asked that he stay behind in order for medical to exam it.  Dr. Lucy McKinnon then arrives and examines Joe’s leg.  Joe’s infection was bad.  The doctor said if he stays in the game, he could lose his leg, or lose his life.

Jeff later walks into camp without Joe.  He informs the new tribe, which is now calling themselves “Forza” that Joe will not be returning to the game.  Jeff goes on to inform the castaways that because of Joe leaving, there will be no tribal council and that there will be nobody leaving tonight.

Joe departs by helicopter and says that he does not want to die, and that he would rather be able to walk home.  He feels that this sucks, but, he has made the right decision.  After all, a realty TV show with a million dollar prize is still not enough for somebody to risk their life for! So tonights episode ended up being very sad, especially for Joe.

Joes Leaves the Show

April 9th, 2009

Goodbye Joe

The 26 year old from Austin, Texas, was nursing a badly swollen leg.  He believes something bit him, and it now has become infected.  However, Joe wanted to continue with the game.  He even played in the immunity challenge.

After the challenge was over, Jeff could not but notice how badly Joe’s leg looked.  Jeff sent all of the the castaways home to camp, but asked that Joe stay behind while medical examined his leg.

The doctor gave Joe the bad news!  He was at risk for loss of leg, and/or even loss of life.  Joe felt no game was worth these risks, and gladly allowed them to helicopter hmself to a hospital for immediate medical attention.  Thus, Joe is now elminated from the game.  We will miss Joe, and are very sorry for his bad luck.

7th Episode Survivor Tocantins

April 2nd, 2009

Survivor Tocantins 7th Episode

In tonight’s Realty TV Show, Survivor Tocantins, we find Sydney from the Jalapao Tribe being worried that if they loose again, she will be voted off before Taj.  She feels Taj and her are on the chopping block.

For the challenge, each tribe will have 5 minutes to build a barricade inside the other tribes frame.  Then they will attempt to toss ceramic pigs through the barricade of what the other tribe has built for them.  If they drop or break a pig, it doesn’t count.  The tribe with the most pigs on their bench at the end of 10 minutes wins reward.  The winning tribe will be taken to a beautiful waterfall where they will enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a barbeque.  In addition, the winning tribe picks one member from the loosing tribe to go to Exile Island and that person will pick somebody from the winning tribe to join them.

Timbira wins the reward, with 14 pigs to Jalapao’s 13 pigs.  They picked Joe to go to Exile Island.  Joe picked Erinn to go with him for strategy reasons, because going into a merge, they needed somebody to flip.

At the reward, the Timbira Tribe (minus Erinn) found watermelon, chips, cooler of drinks, and hamburgers on the grill with all the fixings on the side.  All the tribe members stuffed themselves, and then soaked for awhile in crystal clear water while watching the beautiful waterfall.

On Exile Island, Erinn and Joe each picked an urn, and Erinn picked the one with the clue for the immunity idol, which said that the idol could be found back at camp.  Erinn was open to an alliance with Joe as she was currently not in one.  She therefore shared the location of the idol with Joe.  Now, back at the camp, Taj knows Joe will have all the clues and doesn’t want him to think she has it, so Taj decides to make a fake idol and plant it where the clues said to look for it.

JT then finds the real idol in Taj’s bag.  So it ended up with Taj, JT, and Stephen forming an alliance to the end, with a vow to share the immunity idol.

Immunity Challenge:  Each tribe uses a sling shot in an attempt to break a tile that will release sand from a tower.  The empty tower of sand will then cause the next tile to be revealed and releases a bag of puzzle pieces.  Collect all 3 bags, and 2 tribe members will use these pieces to solve the puzzle.  First tribe to get the puzzle right wins immunity and a one-in-ten shot of winning the million bucks.  Losers go to Tribal Council where someone will be voted out.

JT remained on the sling shot during the whole event, and didn’t want his tribe members to replace him.  But he failed to win all 3 bags first, and eventually Timbira Tribe wins immunity.

At Tribal Council Sydney gets voted off because Taj had previously formed a strong alliance (unknown to Sydney).  In her departing words, Sydney was happy to be part of this realty TV show Survivor Tocantins, and said that her tribe is now in big trouble if there is a merge because they are down in numbers.

In watching the coming attractions for next week’s show, the merge goes through, making it 6 to 4.  This will be where the game becomes very interesting, as these alliances will be tested.  With JT being such a strong competitor and being part of the smaller 4-man tribe, he will have a huge target on his back for the old Timbira Tribe to pick him off.  Also, the Coach is still running things at Timbira, so he has now become an extremely powerful player.  It will be up to the old Jalapao Tribe to convince everyone to vote the Coach out now before it is too late.  But the monkey wrench in this mix is the fact that there are now 3 immunity idols out, with 1 of them being a fake.  This should prove to be an interesting show next week.

Survivor Tocantins First Fifteen Days

March 25th, 2009

A Survivor Tocantins Recap Show

CBS skipped this week for a new Realty TV Show of Survivor Tocantins, and instead showed a recap of the first fifteen days.  Also, it was shown very rare and interesting footage of the castaways doing their “thing”.

More was shown and said about how badly the cast was getting bug bites all over there bodies, and possible scares for life.  There were scenes shown of the terrible things the tribe members had to eat, “off of the land”, in order to get their dosage of protein.

Strategies were further explored by the castaways, and it was revealed how the current alliances came to be after many secret conversations.  Even the Coach revealed his strategy, but it has been very obvious from day one that he has had his game hat on.

It is still to early in the series to tell what alliance will end up on top.  It will all come down to the eventual merge where one tribe and one alliance will attempt to dominate the game.  But even that can change as we have seen in the past, so we will stay tuned in for the next new episode of this realty TV show Survivor Tocantins on April 2, 2009.
