Joes Leaves the Show

Goodbye Joe

The 26 year old from Austin, Texas, was nursing a badly swollen leg.  He believes something bit him, and it now has become infected.  However, Joe wanted to continue with the game.  He even played in the immunity challenge.

After the challenge was over, Jeff could not but notice how badly Joe’s leg looked.  Jeff sent all of the the castaways home to camp, but asked that Joe stay behind while medical examined his leg.

The doctor gave Joe the bad news!  He was at risk for loss of leg, and/or even loss of life.  Joe felt no game was worth these risks, and gladly allowed them to helicopter hmself to a hospital for immediate medical attention.  Thus, Joe is now elminated from the game.  We will miss Joe, and are very sorry for his bad luck.

Survivor Tocantins 7th Episode

In tonight’s Realty TV Show, Survivor Tocantins, we find Sydney from the Jalapao Tribe being worried that if they loose again, she will be voted off before Taj.  She feels Taj and her are on the chopping block.

For the challenge, each tribe will have 5 minutes to build a barricade inside the other tribes frame.  Then they will attempt to toss ceramic pigs through the barricade of what the other tribe has built for them.  If they drop or break a pig, it doesn’t count.  The tribe with the most pigs on their bench at the end of 10 minutes wins reward.  The winning tribe will be taken to a beautiful waterfall where they will enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a barbeque.  In addition, the winning tribe picks one member from the loosing tribe to go to Exile Island and that person will pick somebody from the winning tribe to join them.

Timbira wins the reward, with 14 pigs to Jalapao’s 13 pigs.  They picked Joe to go to Exile Island.  Joe picked Erinn to go with him for strategy reasons, because going into a merge, they needed somebody to flip.

At the reward, the Timbira Tribe (minus Erinn) found watermelon, chips, cooler of drinks, and hamburgers on the grill with all the fixings on the side.  All the tribe members stuffed themselves, and then soaked for awhile in crystal clear water while watching the beautiful waterfall.

On Exile Island, Erinn and Joe each picked an urn, and Erinn picked the one with the clue for the immunity idol, which said that the idol could be found back at camp.  Erinn was open to an alliance with Joe as she was currently not in one.  She therefore shared the location of the idol with Joe.  Now, back at the camp, Taj knows Joe will have all the clues and doesn’t want him to think she has it, so Taj decides to make a fake idol and plant it where the clues said to look for it.

JT then finds the real idol in Taj’s bag.  So it ended up with Taj, JT, and Stephen forming an alliance to the end, with a vow to share the immunity idol.

Immunity Challenge:  Each tribe uses a sling shot in an attempt to break a tile that will release sand from a tower.  The empty tower of sand will then cause the next tile to be revealed and releases a bag of puzzle pieces.  Collect all 3 bags, and 2 tribe members will use these pieces to solve the puzzle.  First tribe to get the puzzle right wins immunity and a one-in-ten shot of winning the million bucks.  Losers go to Tribal Council where someone will be voted out.

JT remained on the sling shot during the whole event, and didn’t want his tribe members to replace him.  But he failed to win all 3 bags first, and eventually Timbira Tribe wins immunity.

At Tribal Council Sydney gets voted off because Taj had previously formed a strong alliance (unknown to Sydney).  In her departing words, Sydney was happy to be part of this realty TV show Survivor Tocantins, and said that her tribe is now in big trouble if there is a merge because they are down in numbers.

In watching the coming attractions for next week’s show, the merge goes through, making it 6 to 4.  This will be where the game becomes very interesting, as these alliances will be tested.  With JT being such a strong competitor and being part of the smaller 4-man tribe, he will have a huge target on his back for the old Timbira Tribe to pick him off.  Also, the Coach is still running things at Timbira, so he has now become an extremely powerful player.  It will be up to the old Jalapao Tribe to convince everyone to vote the Coach out now before it is too late.  But the monkey wrench in this mix is the fact that there are now 3 immunity idols out, with 1 of them being a fake.  This should prove to be an interesting show next week.

Survivor Tocantins First Fifteen Days

A Survivor Tocantins Recap Show

CBS skipped this week for a new Realty TV Show of Survivor Tocantins, and instead showed a recap of the first fifteen days.  Also, it was shown very rare and interesting footage of the castaways doing their “thing”.

More was shown and said about how badly the cast was getting bug bites all over there bodies, and possible scares for life.  There were scenes shown of the terrible things the tribe members had to eat, “off of the land”, in order to get their dosage of protein.

Strategies were further explored by the castaways, and it was revealed how the current alliances came to be after many secret conversations.  Even the Coach revealed his strategy, but it has been very obvious from day one that he has had his game hat on.

It is still to early in the series to tell what alliance will end up on top.  It will all come down to the eventual merge where one tribe and one alliance will attempt to dominate the game.  But even that can change as we have seen in the past, so we will stay tuned in for the next new episode of this realty TV show Survivor Tocantins on April 2, 2009.

CBS Suvivor Tocantins Show Is Preempted By Basketball This Week

We are all sad to see that CBS is NOT showing the next Realty TV Show of Survivor Tocantins this week.  Instead, CBS is showing the Basketball Tournaments this week.

We hate to think our castways are still stranded out there in Tocantins, but then hey, this show has been filmed previously and all the cast is home right now awaiting the final episode to reveal who wins the one million dollars.  Yet being television, we sometimes forget that this Realty TV is not live.  But the bottom line is that we still miss our show this week!

While Survivor is not playing on TV this week, we at least were able to catch a new episode of the Amazing Race 14 on CBS last Sunday evening.

We Begin On Night 6

Night 6 at Timbira Tribe find Erinn saying she didn’t see it coming for her tribe to vote off Candace.  She is now in a panic, as she was attached to the hib of Candace for the last few days.  Coach also does not want Erinn in his alliance.

Timbira day 7 finding Jerry feeling sick for the last few days, and thinks it maybe was the beans or something he was eating that is causing his stomach to hurt real bad.  But, he doesn’t want to show any weakness to his tribe, and wants to be viewed as one of the stronger ones.

Jalapao day 7 is a fishing morning with the gear from winning the last challenge.  Using the net, they are having problems catching fish and they say they need to figure out a good system.  They were however able to fish with the pole and caught fish for a meal before the day’s challenge.

The Challenge was for 6 members from each tribe to be blind folded and tied together in pairs.  The remaining tribe member guides them through a maze to locate a bucket and make their way to a water tower to fill a bucket of water and race back to start to empty the water into a container that will raise a flag.  Next, they collect corn from another tower and fill the second container until that flag is raised.  The first tribe to fill both containers and raise both flags wins the rewards.

Jeff says, “want to know what you are playing for?”  The tribes are playing for an umbrella, chairs, pillows, blankets, and a hammock.  The winning tribe chooses one member from the loosing tribe to go to Exile island and that person will select someone from the winning tribe to join them.

The Timbira tribe fell way behind in the competition.  Blowing the challenge and allowing Jalapao to win the rewards.  Then Brendan, the 30 year old entrepreneur, choose Taj, the 37 year old former Pop Star, to join him at Exile Island.  Spencer was not shocked by the choice (same pair as last time).

Back at Timbira camp, Coach says “winners find a way to win, losers find a way to loose.  We got to get it together.”  Other comments from tribe were, “that sucked,” “we didn’t get beaten, we got humiliated.”  “It wasn’t even close.”  Tyson says, Coach wants his voice heard, which is what we all want and need.  Coach wants to vote off Erinn.  The Coach, Tyson, Sierra, and Debra are going to vote Erinn off next, per the Coach.

At Jalapoa camp, they celebrate victory.  Joe said it was awesome.  We could really do some damage if we win the next challenge.  He observed how pissed Coach was afterwards.  They then put their newly acquired tarp over their shelter to keep dry fro the next rain storm.

Exile Island we see they get another clue and shared it with each other.  It said the immunity idol was surrounded by wood (back at their respective tribes).  They have formed a secret alliance which will come into play after the merge.

The second challenge was for 2 members of each tribe to race to roll a large crate back to their starting mat.  Once the tribe has gathered all 6 crates, they must stack them to build a stair case that spells out their tribe’s name.  The first tribe to stack them correctly and get to the top of their tower wins immunity.

Jalapao ends up winning again, and receive the immunity.  The Timbira tribe must come back that night for tribal counsel and vote off one of their members.

Back at Timbira camp, Brendan finds his immunity idol and hides it under a rock nearby.  Jerry showed weakness in the challenge, and was still ill.  He could not eat beans for dinner again.  Erinn was glad that Jerry was sick, as it took her off the block, and put everyone on to Jerry for a possible eviction.  Jerry would not quit, no matter how bad he felt and said his tribe would have to vote him off before he would quit.

Jerry gets evicted at Tribal Council and said that this was one of his toughest experiences and hopes that one of his tribe members wins the million dollars.
